A) Source A does not tells me that the victims were the British soldiers as the source shows that the soldiers is defending themselves from the rioters. So therefore, the soldiers might not be the British. The source does not provide reliable evidence that the British soldiers were the victims in the Bloody Sunday riots.

B) Source B shows that the Protestants wanted Northern Ireland to be part of United Kingdom as they felt like they fit in to be with the British and united living in there. As the source says that “we positively wanted to be part of the United Kingdom” , “… a feeling of belonging ; we feel we are identified by a common ethnic background; … we feel united in terms of our common history.” and “… that Northern Ireland was part of Britain … you sing songs from London.”

However in Source C, the Catholics wanted Northern Ireland to unite with Ireland because to them, religion is the reason for their discrimination. They don’t want their descendants to have the perception whereby religion is the reason for discriminating one another. As the source says “... religion is the thing that divides us” and “… keep their friendship with each other … the idea that to hate someone, not associate with them because they’re a different denomination, is a bit silly.”

Both sources are similar in a way that they show that both Protestants and Catholics wanted to be united peacefully and not let their religion part them. As shown in source B, “… we feel united in terms of our common history.” Also shown in source C, “We shouldn’t let religion divide us.”

C) Yes, source A agree that the Protestant and Catholics are on bad term. Source A tells me that the armies which were the Protestant are fighting against the Catholics. As seen in source A, the rioters are throwing stones at the soldiers on bloody Sunday.

No, source B do not agree that the Protestant and Catholics are on bad term. Source B tells me that the Protestant were not scared living in Ireland. As mentioned in source B, “We positively want to be a
part of the United Kingdom, not in the negative sense that we fear a united Ireland.”

No, source C do not agree that the Protestant and Catholics are on bad term. Source C tell me that they do not want to be separated by the different of religion that we believe in as they want their young to keep a good relationship with the others.

As seen in source C "We shouldn't let religion divide us..... Religion is the thing that divides us. Hopefully our kids will keep their friendship with each other when they go back will pass the idea that to hate is not associate with them as they're a different denomination, is a bit silly.”

Yes, source D agree that the Protestant and Catholics are on bad terms. As seen in source D people who are older than them think that's the only way to go, that violence is the only way to solve things. But not all of them think that way.

As seen in source D" people who are older than us think that's the only way to go, that violence is the only way to solve things. His mom and dad don't really like the fighting but his uncles do. when Britain give them back the country is should not be solve by being violence."

In conclusion, source A and D agree that the Protestant and Catholics are on bad term while source B and C disagree.
